Blog Move

Moved my blog from Google's Blogger to my own domain. I've also restricted Facebook posts to a weekly blurb. If you'd like to be added to a list to receive major news, like if a new book drops, just send me your email address to mh@marchansenstuff.com.

Meanwhile, when I finish coloring the cover for Ralph Snart Adventures #7, I'll update the store link.

Latest Poop 04-16-19

RSA #8Just finished writing, layouts and lettering for RSA #8. Final part of the Frump Trilogy.

Ralph, Doofus and Fat Louie are on the lam after Ralph killed Vladimir Poopin and put President Frump in a coma (with Fat Louie's unknowing help). Foreign spies turn Frump into a 25-foot tall monster with only one thought on it's mind -- KILL SNART. Ralph also finds love (love is a loose term here). Doctor Goot cameo.

Beer #44 is priming, #45 is fermenting and #46 is in the planning stages.

Latest Crap #234

Work begins on Ralph Snart Adventures Vol 8 No 7 -- the last part of the Frump Trilogy.

Printed comics and paperbacks are once again available. Quantities, as they say, are limited.

New updates to my pioneer breweries site: link 1, link 2, link 3.

Website Update

UPDATE: Total redo. Had to make initial page faster. Using JSON (and some tricks), rendering is now 30x faster - typical load time should be less than a one second. Also fixed some bugs and added some enhancements. Even works in IE 9-11. Good Lord!

Had to update php up from version 5.2 (old as hell) to at least 5.6, but is now compatible up to 7.2. Also, made more mobile friendly. Cut a lot of fat and a lot of bad coding. Overall, much more solid and secure. COOL!

Cartoon Confidential Cover

Forgot I even did the cover to this book -- Cartoon Confidential published by Malibu in June, 1991. I probably forgot because Tom Smith did such a crappy job of coloring my black & white line art. I think it came about after I had contacted Tom Mason at Malibu about publishing Doctor Gorpon in early 1991.

You can read it here.

Almost

Getting close to finishing RSA Volume 3 issues 14 and 15. So, shut up!

Ralph Snart Likes Killing The President

Disclaimer: For the benefit of the NSA, CIA, FBI, Secret Service and Trump's private security force; Ralph Snart Adventures is a work of fiction. Ralph Snart is a fictional character. The author and creator of Ralph Snart Adventures, Marc Hansen, does NOT want to kill the President, nor has he ever planned or attempted, and is a tax-paying and law-abiding citizen of the United States of America.ClintonDon't be too shocked about the lastest issue of RSA. After all, Ralph Snart has a history of trying to kill the President. It began back in Volume 5 when he tried to kill Socks the Cat (it having taken over for an absconding Bill Clinton). Ralph loses that fight and ends up getting his heart ripped out by Socks. Damn cat.BeaverThen, in Volume 6, when he tried to kill President Beaver. Actually, in that case, Ralph and Doofus succeed when they give Beaver a lethal "beer cramming" and then hide his body under some sofa seat cushions. Later the whole sofa is dumped from Air Force One over Pittsburg.BushVolume 7 is entirely based around Ralph going into hiding after trying to blow up another version of the President (unnamed but sure looks like Bush) with a back pack full of explosives. Ralph fails this time and ends up blowing himself up sky high. Later, the President seeks revenge by trying to send the planet into a nuclear winter.Frump! Now the lastest, in Volume 8, as Ralph and Doofus are brain washed into trying to assassinate President Frump. Their success or failure will be revealed in issue 6. Tee-hee! All harmless fun! And FICTIONAL. Don't forget to mention it's fictional.

Experiments

"Leftovers" beer (1-gallon) on the left and my attempt at hard cider (1/2-gallon) on the right. The beer has no base malt, just some biscuit, flaked corn, DME, corn and cane sugar. Also has all of what little I got from my hops harvest this year. The cider has 9-lbs of Honeycrisp (what was I thinking), Golden Delicious and Granny Smith apples ground up in my grandmother's old meat grinder, plus 1/2-cup cane sugar. I split an old packet of Nottingham ale yeast for both, which was apparently still good since both are fermenting like dogs, and especially since I gave them the whole shebang (good for 5-gallons). Will bottle both in three weeks.
