Ralph Snart Trading Cards No. 18
Text from card back:
This issue is reprinted from Vol. 2, No. 6, in color, with "Fid Ferret," an all-new, short strip. Fid Ferret is strutting around the forest, when he comes upon a squirrel reading a dictionary. the squirrel looks up "ferret," and it says he's a bothersome, rodent-like pest. Outraged, Fid convinces the publishers to rewrite the definition. Once back in the forest, he shows the new dictionary to the squirrel, who reads it aloud...but I'm not going to tell you what it said. Geez, yer so lazy! Git up offa yer duff and' read it yerself!
Even though Ralph can chug lots of beer, play bass guitar without lessons, and outsmart big guys named Sid and Cutthroat, don't be fooled into thinking you can, too. Moral: These are only comic stories, and most of the time, only real rock 'n' rollers like Ralph can do these things.
